Local Clubs
  • South Tweed Bowls Club also offers entertainment for all the family, such as Rock n Roll, Line Dancing, and free movies on the Gold Coast's biggest video screen in air conditioned comfort. Live performances includes a variety of local and international solo artists, duos and bands. Kids are entertained and supervised at Sharky's Kids Club.
  • GolfersCoolangatta Golf Club is a nine hole golf course is set amongst vineyards. With spectacular views and country settings, this historical part of Coolangatta will add to the enjoyment of your game. The course is par 3.
  • Coolangatta Croquet Club is situated in the seaside resort of Coolangatta, adjacent to Goodwin Park. They have two full size lawns plus a smaller lawn situated in beautiful surrounds.

  • Seagulls Club once the home of Rugby League, provides quality live entertainment and major shows in the star dust room. They also provide a free bus services for club patrons.
Wildlife
  • Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is home to the world's largest collection of Australian native animals. With over 27 hectares of landscaped surrounds and bush land catering for over 1400 mammals, birds and reptiles, Currumbin WildlifePossum Sanctuary offers a unique natural experience where you can see native animals face to face in natural surroundings. The Sanctuary is also recognised world-wide as a quality research and conservation facility.

  • Fleay's Fauna Sanctuary is Queensland's most natural wildlife attraction, specialising in rare and threatened species. Take the Circular boardwalk to view animals in their natural rain forest, wetland and eucalypt habitats. Nocturnal House, giant walk-through rainforest aviary, spectacular crocodile feeding (summer only). Free wildlife presentations and guided tours.
  • Olson's Bird Sanctuary gardens feature exotic pheasants, parrots and finches in large landscaped aviaries. Set in rain forest amid creek walks, the botanic gardens have one of Queenslands' best private collections of Australian and overseas birds. Also features a Lilly Pilly Maze and magnificent Rose Garden.

World Heritage and National Parks

  • Lamington National Park is one of Australia's most spectacular Tropical National Parks. There are dozens of tracks to walk and several water falls to discover. You'll see birds, frogs, mammals and assorted flora in their natural habitat.

  • O'Reilly's has over 160km of walking tracks varying in degree of difficulty in the National Park. These range from full day walks to several short walks that will lead walkers to a spectacular waterfall, a stunning lookout or right through the centre of a giant brush box, known only as the wishing tree.

  • Mount Warning the towering, cone-shaped peak and its two 'shoulders' have become the trademark of the Tweed from everyMount Warning point in the valley and beyond, the mountain dominates the landscape. Superb rainforest from Breakfast Creek the main walking track ascends through superb rainforest with strategic rest spots giving a variety of scenic views of the surrounding valley. The reward on reaching the summit, (1157m), is a 360 degree panorama of the enormous eroded bowl of the volcanic caldera landform an rim.

  • Pacific Fair Shopping Centre is a uniquely themed open air and sophisticated arcade shopping experience on Queensland's Gold Coast. Offering over 270 retail stores and services, including Daimaru, Myer, Kmart, Target, Coles and 12 Birch Carrol Coyle Cinemas. The centre is the largest of its kind in Australia.

  • Centro Tweed has over 80 Specialty Stores in one level air conditioned centre. Fashion, food, variety and all the services are here, with plenty of easy undercover parking. Try the 350 seat Harbourside Food Court or other food outlets, plus a great amusement centre for the children.

VineyardsCanungra Vineyards

  • Canungra Vineyards - Jazz and Shiraz Live every Sunday in the vineyard. The Jazz Conxion plays on the gazebo from 12 noon until 4 p.m. Request your favourites (their waiters always do!). They also have live guitar as entertainment playing every Saturday. Great day out for a gourmet picnic basket or luxurious veranda lunch. These are very popular, so it is essential to book for both.
